Cool water fish do better in temperatures below that usually between 60 and 75 f 15 24 c but some of them enjoy water well below 70 f which is not suitable for any tropical fish.

The best temperature for rainbow sharks is in the 72 f to 79 f range but the sharks have been known to survive in a range from 66 f to 87 f.
Use driftwood and caves to split up the tank if there are other fish. Use an aqueon aquarium heater to maintain the correct temperature. To curb the aggressiveness of the sharks invest in a large aquarium.
Adults should be contained in a 55 gallon tank and above.
